Udupi: Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejawara Matha said that the state government should not dare to repeal the anti-conversion law or the anti-cattle slaughter law.

In a video message, he said that the previous government had implemented the anti-conversion law and the anti-cattle slaughter law to resolve the confusion in society. He said that the current government’s decision to withdraw both these acts is a matter of great concern.

The government should not dare to withdraw the law, Pejavara Sri said and added that the government should gauge the public opinions on these matters through a referendum from people’s representatives.
