3 die on spot in fatal accident on Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway

Mandya: Three people died on the spot while one person sustained critical injuries in a fatal accident that took place on the Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway under Maddur police station limits.

The accident occurred between a Swift Dzire and Tata Hexa car. Both the vehicles were proceeding towards Mysuru from Bengaluru.

Three occupants of the Desire car died on the spot due to the impact of the collision. One of the deceased has been identified as Neeraj Kumar, while the identity of the other two deceased is yet to be ascertained. The condition of another person in the car is said to be critical and has been admitted to MIMS Hospital in Mandya for treatment.

Reportedly the driver of Swift car was overspeeding and lost control of the vehicle thus causing the accident. The occupants of the Tata car also sustained injuries in the mishap.

Meanwhile, public expressed outrage that the Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway is turning into a death corridor.
