28-year-old dies after severe bleeding during delivery

Uppinangady: A 28-year-old Asha worker died after she experienced excessive bleeding during childbirth.
The deceased is Bhavya, wife of Balakrishna Gowda, the couple had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their third child. However, unforeseen complications led to an unfortunate outcome.
On Monday, Bhavya was admitted to the Puttur Government Hospital after experiencing labor pains. The medical staff diligently attended to her, hoping for safe delivery. Eventually, on Tuesday night, Bhavya gave birth to a baby boy.
Tragically, she experienced a severe bleeding episode during the delivery. Despite the medical team’s best efforts, they were unable to prevent the uncontrollable bleeding. Consequently, Bhavya’s condition deteriorated rapidly, necessitating a transfer to the Wenlock Hospital in Mangalore for further specialized treatment.
Despite the relentless efforts of the medical professionals, Bhavya succumbed to her injuries on June 21, leaving behind her husband, Balakrishna Gowda, and their three children.
