Bengaluru: A shocking CCTV footage of a minor boy physically assaulting a toddler girl at a Montessori school in South Bengaluru, surfaced on social media.
The incident reportedly happened at the school located in Chikkalasandra on Wednesday, June 21.
According to a report by DHNS, the video shows the caretaker leaving the room and the boy shoving the girl to the floor and hitting, kicking, biting, and slapping her. The caretakers at the school failed to notice the abusive behaviour.
When the girl’s parents came to pick her up noticed the bruises and later CCTV footage verification showed the assault. They shared the footage with the others following which there were protests at the school, the report added.
As the footage went viral, police were involved. However, the parents of the girl refused to file a formal complaint, the report said.
Meanwhile, netizens expressed their outrage at the incident. The incident ignited a conversation about the responsibility of schools in providing adequate supervision and security measures to protect the vulnerable age group in their care.
