Roopesh Shetty’s Tulu Movie “Circus” receives grand opening at Big Cinemas

The much-awaited Tulu movie “Circus,” directed by renowned filmmaker and actor Roopesh Shetty, made its grand debut on Friday morning at Bharat Mall’s Big Cinemas. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests, marking the official inauguration of the screening.
Addressing the audience, Roopesh Shetty expressed his joy and gratitude towards the overwhelming support Tulu cinema receives from the community. He acknowledged the efforts of numerous individuals, both seasoned veterans and talented newcomers, who have worked tirelessly to bring Tulu movies to life and win the hearts of the Tulu people. He urged the audience to watch “Circus” and provide encouragement to the Tulu film industry.
Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, a prominent figure in the Tulu film industry, described “Circus” as a complete entertainer and expressed his excitement to reunite with the same team that had previously collaborated on the successful film “Girigit.”
Adding to the enthusiasm, Telekeda Bolli Devdas Kapikad expressed his hopes for the success of “Circus” in Tulunadu and called for the release of more Tulu films to please the Tulu-speaking audience.
Arjun Kapikad, another notable figure in Tulu cinema, lauded the buzz surrounding “Circus” and extended his wishes for its success in all theaters where it is screened.
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished individuals, including Prakash Pandeshwar, Walter Nandalike, VG Paul, and many others.
“Circus” is a joint production of Shulin Films, Mugrodi Films, and Manjunath Attavar. The film features a stellar cast, including Roopesh Shetty, Naveen D Padil, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Saikrishna Kudla, Actress Rachana Rai, Prasanna Shetty Bailur, Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, Umesh Mijar, Chandrahasa Ullala, Panchami Bhojaraj, Roopa Vorkady, Pradeep Alva Kadri, and Nitesh Shetty in lead roles.
The title song of the film, sung by renowned Kannada singer Chandan Shetty, features music by Loy Valentine Saldanha. Choreography is handled by Naveen Shetty, while Roopesh Shetty penned the lyrics. Prasanna Shetty, known for his work in “Girigit,” contributed to the dialogues. Niranjan Das oversees the camera work, and Rahul Vasishta handles the editing.
“Circus” will be screened worldwide at various renowned theaters, including Mangalore’s Roopavani, Bharat Cinemas, PVR, Cinepolis, and Nataraj in Suratkal, among others. Additionally, the film has also made its way to international venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Sharjah, Oman, Muscat, and Qatar.
Prior to the release, a grand procession was organized by the circus troupe, starting from Nehru Maidan and culminating at Bharat Mall. Tulu cinema actors, along with the cast of “Circus,” participated in the vibrant procession, which featured horn trumpets, musical instruments etc. The procession garnered enthusiastic cheers from film enthusiasts along the route, with a significant number of people joining in the celebration.
