Amid rumours that BJP leader Nalin Kumar Kateel announced his resignation from the post of party president, the MP has clarified that he has not submitted his resignation.
Reports suggested that Kateel at a rally in Bellary announced that he has already submitted his resignation both verbally and in writing, as his two-year term as state president had come to an end.
Clarifying on the same, Kateel said that his remarks have been misinterpreted by media houses and he has not resigned from the party president post.
He however added that he takes moral responsibility for BJP’s defeat in Karnataka elections and he would be focussing on the reasons for the defeat with party higher-ups
