Udupi: 2 seriously injured in car-goods vehicle collision

Udupi: Two persons were seriously injured in a road accident near the Honda showroom at Kunjibettu on the Udupi-Manipal road on Tuesday night after an Innova car collided with an Ace Goods vehicle.

The injured were travelling on the Ace Goods vehicle.

Eyewitnesses said that the accident occurred as the Innova, which was moving towards Udupi from Manipal, tried to avoid hitting an oncoming car. The Innova driver lost control and collided with the Ace moving in the same direction.

There were 2 occupants on the Ace when the mishap took place. Two were seriously injured, while the driver escaped with minor injuries.

Traffic on the busy road was affected for a while due to the accident.
