UP court sentences two brothers for life in murder case

Pratapgarh: Two brothers have been sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here in a 15-year-old murder case.

Additional Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court) Sumit Pawar on Tuesday convicted Ramu and his brother Shyamu and also imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 each on them, Additional district government counsel Kashinath Tiwari said on Wednesday.

The third accused Ramashankar Tiwari was acquitted for lack of evidence, the counsel added.

The trio was named in a complaint lodged by a resident of Babaganj Pure Nirmal village in the murder case of his father Manik Chandra.
