Bengaluru: In the aftermath of BJP’s crushing defeat in the state, fingers are being pointed at State President Nalin Kumar Kateel for his alleged responsibility in the party’s loss. The criticism has intensified to the point where former minister MP Renukacharya has called for Kateel’s resignation, urging him to take moral responsibility for the electoral setback.
Addressing presspersons Renukacharya questioned the state president has not taken action against those who made multiple allegations against former chief minister BS Yediyurappa.
The sentiments expressed by party leaders, activists, and the public have resonated with a unified voice, decrying the demotion of Yediyurappa from the post of Chief Minister. Many view this decision as a significant crime, and the move has been widely criticized. It is believed that Yediyurappa’s demotion had a detrimental impact on the party’s performance.
The appointment of Dr. K. Sudhakar as the Manifesto Committee President has also drawn severe backlash within the party.
Critics argue that Sudhakar, who has not made significant contributions to the party, was given a crucial role, leading to a significant setback. This decision has further fueled dissatisfaction among party members and supporters.
