Two-wheelers skid on Udupi road due to diesel spillage

Several two-wheeler riders skid on the road stretch near the city bus stand here on Wednesday, June 28 night after diesel spillage from a truck.

The spillage occurred from a truck carrying diesel from Kalsanka to Udupi. As a result of the spillage, around 15 to 20 two-wheeler riders skidded and fell on this road stretch.

Traffic police arrived at the spot upon being informed about the situation and put a warning board at the spot. They undertook remedial measures like cleaning the spot with bleaching powder and water to minimize the impact of the spill.

Vehicular movement was affected briefly because of the incident.
