Lineman arrested for accepting bribe

Byndoor: A lineman was taken into custody by Lokayuktha police after being caught red-handed accepting a bribe.

The arrested has been identified as Ramesh.

The incident unfolded when Ramesh, an employee responsible for maintaining electrical infrastructure, allegedly demanded Rs 2,000 for cutting a fallen tree entangled with an electric wire.

The police apprehend Ramesh while he was accepting the illicit payment.

A well-executed operation by the Lokayuktha police of the Mangaluru division ensued, resulting in Ramesh’s arrest as he accepted the bribe money.
