Former minister B Sriramulu on Wednesday lashed out at the Congress government over the state of law and order in the state.
Sriramulu alleged that whenever Congress comes to power, the law and order situation in the state deteriorates and Hindu activists are killed.
“There is no protection for Hindu activists, Swamijis and senior citizens in the state. Whenever the Congress government comes to power there is a rise in the Jihadi mindset and such murders occur,” he told in a reference to the killing of Venugopala Nayak, a Yuva Brigade activist and a Jain seer.
“The law and order situation in CM’s home district has got worse, we can only imagine the condition in other parts of the state,” the BJP leader stated.
He further alleged that Nayak’s murder was pre-planned by people of Jihadi mentality. However the Congress government is not serious about this issue. Following Nayak’s murder, the district in-charge minister has not responded to his family. Congress leaders, including chief minister have turned a blind eye to the issue.
Such attacks on Hindu activists will continue if the government does not act sternly, he said while demanding for a CBI probe into Nayak’s murder. “We suspect that the police probing the case could come under pressure and only a CBI probe will unravel the truth,” he added.
