A woman employed as a librarian at a private college met an untimely demise after falling from a bike on which she was a pillion rider.

The deceased has been identified as Shambhavi (59), a resident of Koteshwara.

Shambhavi, along with Sudhindra, a lab technician from her college, was traveling towards the Brahmavar bus stand after completing her duties at the college in Chantaru on a Saturday afternoon.

Tragically, their journey was interrupted as they reached Kolambe, with heavy rains pouring down relentlessly and it is believed that Shambhavi lost control and fell from the bike.
