Panambur-Baikampady road accident: Police to issue notice to NHAI?

Mangaluru: A days after a two-wheeler rider tragically lost his life after falling under a lorry while attempting to avoid a pothole on National Highway 66, the city police are planning to issue a formal notice to the National Highway Authority in response to concerns about road safety negligence.
The incident has raised serious questions about the responsibility of concerned agencies in maintaining safe road conditions. In the wake of such unfortunate accidents, courts had earlier issued orders to take decisive action against those accountable for such negligence.
Addressing a querry, City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R. Jain expressed deep concern over the tragic incident and acknowledged the need for a thorough investigation. He assured that the police would conduct a comprehensive inquiry to determine the circumstances that led to the accident.
