Mangaluru: A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus rammed into two-wheelers parked on the roadside on MG Road near PVS on Thursday evening.

According to eyewitnesses, the KSRTC bus plying on the Kasaragod -Mangluru route, was in competition with another bus belonging to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. The driver of the bus involved was negligent and overspeeding, they alleged.

The bus brushed against one of the scooters parked on the roadside which hit another bike parked nearby. None were hurt in the incident.

Traffic police who arrived at the spot registered a case against the two-wheeler riders for parking vehicles in the no-parking zone. But the KSRTC bus was let off, inviting the ire of the public who opposed the move bu the police.
