Ready to contest Lok Sabha elections: Pramod Madhwaraj

Balehonnur: Former minister Pramod Madhwaraj said that he is an aspirant for the BJP ticket from the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency and is ready to contest if the party allows him.

Speaking at a press conference, Madhwaraj said that he has been involved in party organization in Udupi district for some time. “I will work for the party irrespective of whether I received a ticket or not. I have worked as a cabinet minister in the Congress government. I joined the BJP believing in PM Modi’s leadership,” he said.

Madhwaraj declined to comment on the allegations that the sitting MP was not responding to the problems of the common man.

Further, he said that issues of encroachment, implementation of the Kasturirangan report, project Tiger, buffer zone identification, betelnut leaf disease, etc. need serious attention.
