Padubidri: Labourer killed after beam collapses at Adani Power Plant

Udupi: A 21-year-old labourer died after a large iron beam collapsed at the Adani Power Plant in Udupi district.
The deceased has been identified as Mularam, a native of Rajasthan.
Three more persons have been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries in the incident.
Work on the FGD plant was underway inside the Adani power plant. Almost 75% of the work is nearing completion. Adani Group has subcontracted the work.
Around noon on Friday, five people were working at the site. It is said that the rope of the crane broke after one of the beams collapsed. Four of them fell to the ground with the safety ropes. Mularam died on the way to the hospital.
Three persons, who were admitted to a private hospital in Udupi with injuries are recovering.
Padubidri police visited the spot. Investigations are underway.
