Tumkur: Teen collapses, dies of heart attack during sports event

Tumkur: In a tragic incident, a Class 10 student died of a heart attack during a Hobli level sports event held at Chikkathotlakere village of Tumkur taluk.

The deceased identified as Bhima Shankar, a native of Kalaburagi was studying at the government high school in Thumkur. On Thursday, he participated in the relay race and won second place.

However, he collapsed and died before he could receive the prize.

Bhima Shankar’s parents were devastated to hear the news of his death. Tumkur police visited the spot and registered a case.
