Mangaluru: CCB police bust ganja selling network, arrest accused

Acting on reliable intelligence, the City Crime Branch (CCB) police launched a successful raid in the Kankanady-Pumpwell area, leading to the arrest of a man involved in selling ganja to the public. The accused, identified as Mohammed Azeez (40), and a resident of Mustafa Compound, Kodikal, was apprehended during the operation.
During the raid, the police seized two kilograms of ganja, valued at Rs 50,000 in the market, along with a two-wheeler and a mobile phone. The total worth of the confiscated items amounted to Rs 1.05 lakh.
Notably, Mohammed Azeez had a prior record, as he had faced a similar charge in 2022 at the Konaje police station.
The operation was executed by a team of dedicated personnel from the CCB, including Shyam Sundar, Rajendra, Sudeep, Sharanappa, Narendra, and others.
