Ramanagara District Superintendent of Police, Karthik Reddy, clarified that the viral news on social media claiming a series of nighttime vehicle robberies on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway is completely false.

He further clarified that there have been no instances of robbery on this expressway, except for one which has already been solved.

Addressing the issue, he pointed out that a post circulating on social media claimed that the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway was rampant with robbers targeting vehicles at night. However, he firmly stated that this claim is utterly untrue.

Furthermore, he highlighted that the image accompanying the fake news is not even from India; it pertains to a foreign country. There have been no robbery incidents on the Expressway. The Highway Patrol team is actively on duty around the clock to ensure safety. The police have already apprehended individuals involved in previous robbery cases, he added.

Superintendent Karthik Reddy urged the public not to lend any credence to such misinformation circulating on social media.
