The accused Nameez Hamza, hailing from Kotepura has gone absconding after the incident and police have launched a manhunt for him.

Reportedly Hamza was in talks with the victim, Mansoor’s relatives for a rental house. However, Mansoor took objection to this as he was aware of Hamza’s criminal ways.

A verbal argument ensued between Hamza and Mansoor over the issue and the former attacked him with a knife.

Police said that Hamza was involved in various nefarious activities, including murder of BJP activist Jubair in Mukkaccheri.
