Mysuru: A family here has been gripped by a deeply distressing incident stemming from a son’s impulsive actions, leading to the victimization of an entire family.

While the father and the son were arrested for the crime they committed, the mother, unable to endure the disgrace brought upon her family, took her own life. Shockingly, upon learning of his wife’s demise, the husband also passed away while in custody. The repercussions of this tragic chain of events have left the family’s existence shattered.

Case history: Just three days ago, a heinous murder occurred in Vidyanagar layout, falling under the jurisdiction of Nazarbad police station in Mysuru. The victim was a 28-year-old named Balaraju. The incident unfolded during an intoxicated financial dispute, resulting in the swift arrest of four individuals involved in the crime.

Those apprehended were Tejas, Sanjay, Kiran, and Samrat, all residents of Vidyanagar layout. The principal accused, Tejas, happens to be the son of Samrat, who is the fourth accused. Both father and son, along with two other accomplices, were taken into custody and subsequently imprisoned.

Following the incident, discussions about the family started echoing throughout the layout. Last Sunday night, Indrani, the wife of Samrat, tragically took her own life within their residence. The shocking news came to light on Monday morning. The news of his wife’s passing shattered Samrat, who collapsed and passed away within minutes of hearing the distressing news.

Subsequently, the processes were carried out by the Mandi, Nazarbad, and Jail authorities to ensure the proper handling of the deceased bodies. The mortal remains of both Indrani and Samrat were handed over to their respective relatives. In an unusual turn, Tejas, the murder suspect, was granted permission by the court to participate in his parents’ last rites, scheduled from 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday. The responsibility of facilitating his attendance and ensuring his return to jail was entrusted to the Nazarbad station police.

Amidst heavy security, Tejas paid his final respects to his parents at Rudrabhoomi, located at the foothills of Chamundi Hill.
