Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a car ran over a person who had fainted on the road in the city.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening at Rao and Rao First Maidan Cross Road.
The injured has been identified as Gopal. He reportedly received injuries to the chest and hand in the incident. He has been admitted to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained.
The car meanwhile fled from the spot, without stopping at the scene. It is alleged that the negligent behaviour of the car driver led to the accident.
A case has been registered at the Mangaluru West Traffic police station in this regard.
