Sullia: Three killed, one injured in road mishap

Sullia: Three persons were killed and one sustained serious injuries after a car hit them as they were standing on the roadside here near Adkar on Thursday, August 31.

The deceased have been identified as Chandrappa, Regappa, and Mantesh — all natives of Ranebennur in Haveri were employed as labourers.

The accident took place when the driver of the car, travelling from Madikeri to Mangaluru lost control of the vehicle and rammed into four persons standing on the roadside. The car then went on to hit a parked lorry.

While three of the labourers died at a hospital another person identified as Venkappa is undergoing treatment.
