Udupi: The district administration has extended the restrictions on tourists’ visits to dangerous areas during the rainy season, including beaches, till September 15.
Udupi Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vidyakumari said that the decision was taken due to the possibility of rain in the first week of September. Further course of action will be taken after reviewing the situation, she added.
The DC said that the district administration will discuss the matter with other authorities. A discussion will be held with the Shivamogga DC regarding the lifting of the traffic ban on Agumbe Ghat.
All restrictions will continue till September 15, she reiterated.
