A 9-year-old boy named Charan Naik, son of Krishna Naik and Mahadevibai, met a tragic end as he was attacked and killed by a tiger in Siddapur village.

Charan Naik, a second-class student at Siddapur Government School, had the day off from school on Monday. Charan had accompanied his parents to the family farm. His father, Krishna Naik, had placed him under the comforting shade of a tree while he worked on harvesting chillies in the nearby field.

A tiger, lurking in the vicinity, suddenly pounced on young Charan, snatching him away. Later, his father found Charan’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood nearby.
