Kinnigoli: In an unusual incident reported from Kinnigoli, a man, who had allegedly thrown diesel on a cobra, has been admitted to a hospital due to high fever.

The man, hailing from North Karnataka works as a watchman at an apartment in Kinnigoli. Last week he had spotted a cobra snake near the apartment premises and he had poured diesel over it to drive it away.

However, the cobra was seen agonising in pain due to his act. Locals who saw this informed a snake rescuer who immediately rushed to the spot and managed to rescue the cobra by wiping off the diesel from its skin. Later the snake was released into the forest.

Now, within a week of this incident, the watchman is said to have fallen sick and admitted to a hospital.
