Dry day declared in Udupi district for Chauthi celebration

In a bid to ensure the maintenance of law and order, as well as public peace during the Chauthi celebration, a dry day has been officially declared on Sept 19 in Udupi district and Sep 21,23 in Udupi city by District Collector Dr. K. Vidyakumari. The decision comes in response to a request made by the District Superintendent of Police.
As the coastal region gears up for the vibrant Ganesha Chaturthi and Gouri festival celebrations, authorities are taking precautionary measures to uphold safety and harmony in the community. The Gouri festival is slated for Monday, while the Ganesha festival will be joyously celebrated on Tuesday.
Preparations are in full swing throughout the districts of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Kasaragod, and Kodagu, where enthusiastic residents and businesses are getting ready to embrace the festive spirit.
