MLA ticket fraud case: Abhinava Halashree Swamiji arrested from Odisha

Bengaluru: Police have arrested Abhinava Halashree Swamiji of Sansthan Math Hire Hadagali of Hospet, who has been absconding in the multi-crore MLA ticket fraud case. He was reportedly arrested in Cuttack in Odisha.
Halashree Swamiji was named as the third accused, along with Chaitra Kundapura and her associates in the police complaint by the alleged victim of the scam, businessman Govinda Babu Poojary.
Ever since Chaitra was arrested, Halashree Swamiji had been on the run. CCB police who were on his lookout traced him to Odisha and reportedly arrested him with help from local police. He will be brought to Bengaluru on September 19 evening, sources said.
With this arrest, all the accused mentioned in the case have been traced.
