Balehonnur: Medical officer thrashed for allegedly locking up woman employee in his quarters

Chikkamagaluru: A medical officer at the government hospital in Balehonnur was beaten up by the family of a woman employee on the allegation that he had locked her up and sexually harassed her.
The incident took place at Balehonnur government hospital residential quarters in N R Pura Taluk. A video of the physical assault was filmed and has gone viral on social media.
A complaint has been lodged against the medical officer identified as Dr Eldos at the Balehonnur police station.
In the video, a man, who is said to be a relative of the woman, is seen asking the medical officer why he has locked up the Group D employee in his quarters while another person is seen filming the incident. Thereafter they enter the quarters and open a room bolted from the outside from which the woman emerged.
It is learnt that Dr. Eldos has many similar complaints against him. He was reportedly suspended for slapping a nurse in the past.
