Bantwal: Laborer severely injured in accident near Thumbe

A laborer has been injured after a car veered across the divider near Tumbe on the Mangalore-Bangalore National Highway.
The injured laborer, identified as Nagaraj Lamani from Haveri, was engaged in median maintenance when the incident occurred.
The driver of a car lost control of the vehicle, breaching the highway divider and colliding with Nagaraj Lamani, who was diligently removing grass from the median. Subsequently, the car continued across the road and collided with another car and a motorcycle.
The collision resulted in damage to both the car and the motorcycle involved in the incident. Fortunately, the occupants of these vehicles escaped unharmed.
The injured laborer was rushed to a Mangaluru hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries.
Traffic Sub-Inspector Sutesh and Assistant Sub-Inspector Vijay have registered a case in connection with the accident.
