Udupi: Autodriver displays honesty, returns bag containing cheques, documents to owner

Udupi: An auto-rickshaw driver displayed exemplary honesty by returning a bag containing Rs 7 lakh worth cheque and important documents to its owner who had forgotten it in his vehicle.
The driver, Satish noticed that the passenger who had taken his auto from Manipal to Udupi on September 18 had forgotten the cheques and documents in the vehicle. Satish who happens to be a member of the autorickshaw owner-cum-drivers’ association brought the matter to the notice of association president Vijay Puthran Hirebettu.
The documents were later handed over to the passenger Anant Devadiga in the presence of the Manipal police.
