Kasaragod: A 54-year-old man died of a serious blow to the head on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Balakrishnan Son of Kelappan and a resident of Thrikkaripura, was found critically injured at his home on Tuesday morning. He was rushed to a hospital where he breathed his last.
Chandera Police, meanwhile, have launched an investigation to ascertain if there is any foul play.
Ratheesh, the son-in-law of the deceased, is being interrogated about his involvement in the case. It is alleged that Ratheesh and Balakrishnan had disagreements regarding a property dispute. It is suspected that Ratheesh may have hit Balakrishnan on the head.
It is said that Ratheesh had visited Balakrishnan at his home on September 25 and both had consumed liquor. It is alleged that an argument broke out between them under the influence of alcohol.
The deceased Balakrishnan was a welder. He lived alone at home due to a domestic dispute with his wife.
