An accused who had remained on the run for two decades in connection with the notorious fake note case has been apprehended by the vigilant Bantwal city police.
The accused, identified as Ibrahim and hailing from Mannagundi in Kokrady village near Nelyadi, was presented before the court following his arrest.
The case dates back to 2004 when charges were filed against two individuals in relation to the fake note case. Notably, one of the accused had voluntarily surrendered at the time, but Ibrahim had eluded capture, remaining a fugitive from justice for a remarkable 20 years.
