Mangaluru: Indian Coast Guard personnel successfully coordinated the rescue of a stranded fishing boat with 10 fishermen on board at 39 nautical miles off the coast of New Mangalore Port

The boat Tirchendur Murugan had set sailing for fishing on September 20 and developed an engine shaft problem on September 24.

Responding to the distress call from the boat, the Indian Coast Guard acted swiftly and despatched C-448 and C-446 Coast Guard vessels for the rescue mission. The boat was safely towed to the old Mangalore port.
