Massive tree blocks Charmadi Ghat road for three hours

A substantial tree obstruction occurred at the 8th bend of Charmadi Ghat on Saturday, causing a three-hour traffic disruption.
Fortunately, social worker Hasanabba Charmadi, along with Mohammad Arif and local residents, managed to clear the roadblock with the assistance of machinery, restoring traffic flow by 5:30 in the evening.
Additionally, the Hemavati River has witnessed an increased water flow, leading to a house collapse in Balur Hobali, belonging to Meguru Ramaiah.
Over the past three days, intensified rainfall around Charmadi Ghat, Kottigehara, Banakal, and Balur has disrupted agricultural activities, potentially damaging farmers’ crops. A total of 164.2 mm (16.4 cm) of rain was recorded from Thursday to Saturday, raising concerns about crop losses.
