Mulki police arrest 4 inter-district robbers

Mulki Police, on Tuesday, arrested four inter-district accused who were allegedly involved in the robbery and theft case that took place in the Mulki police station limits. Assets including gold jewellery worth Rs 7.63 lakh were seized from them.

The arrested accused have been identified as Davangere Pramod, H. Ravikiran, Davala Saab H., and Manjunath.

Police said that the arrests were made based on information divulged by another accused in the case, Raghu of Davanagere. He had been arrested earlier and divulged information during interrogation.

The accused were apprehended after intercepting a car and two bikes that were moving suspiciously at the Punarur Checkpost. Two bikes, a car, and a piece of Karimani chain were seized from them, police said.

All four were produced before the court. Two of them have been remanded to police custody for further questioning, police added.
