Bantwal: Bike rider dies after being knocked down by car

Bantwal: A bike rider breathed his last after being hit by a car near Kamaje Cross here on Wednesday, October 4.
The deceased has been identified as Srinivasa Udupa alias Babu (58), a resident of Pangalpadi near Vamadapadav.
Srinivas was taking a turn at the Kamaje Cross while moving from Bantwal when a car knocked down the bike he was riding. Seriously injured, he was rushed to a private hospital at Thumbe. However, he passed away without responding to medical treatment.
Shrinivas was employed at a temple as an attendant. He is survived by his wife and three children.
Melkar police have registered a case and are investigating.
