The residence of prominent Congress leader and Chairman of DCC Bank, R.M Manjunath Gowda, came under scrutiny as ED officials conducted searches at his house on Thursday morning.
As investigations into the raid on his Bettamakki residence in Tirthahalli progress, it has come to light that Manjunath Gowda was reportedly in Bangalore at the time of the operation.
Furthermore, reports indicate that simultaneous actions were carried out at multiple locations, including the Karakuchi area near Mangerekatte in the taluk and Shantinagar in Shivamogga. The ED team, comprising over 15 officers and utilizing more than 5 vehicles, executed the operation with precision and coordination.
While the exact nature of the ED’s actions remains undisclosed, there are indications that the raids may be linked to an investigation into a suspected fake gold scam.
