CCB police issue notice to Vajradehi Swamiji

Bengaluru: CCB police, investigating the alleged cheating of a businessman by promising a BJP ticket from the Byndoor assembly constituency, have issued a notice to to Rajasekharananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt, Mangaluru.

Sources said that the investigating officer in the case ACP Reena Suvarna has sent a copy of the notice to Swamiji asking him to appear for questioning within three days of receiving the notice.

A few days ago, Vajradehi Swamiji had claimed that he knew about the fraud by the prime accused in the case, Chitra Kundapura. It was reported that the Swamiji had told his close friends that he had information about whom she had cheated. This news was published by some media outlets.

Sources said that a notice has been given to Vajradehi Swamiji to furnish complete information about Chaitra’s fraud and financial dealings.

Responding to queries about CCB summons, Swamiji said, that he would appear for the questioning. “I have already made it clear that I have nothing to do with this case,” he added.
