Vehicle carrying labourers overturns, four critically injured

Muddebihal: Nearly 20 labourers sustained injuries after the Tata Ace vehicle in which they were travelling overturned near Jangamurala village in Muddebihal taluk.
Among the injured, the condition of four persons is said to be critical and they have been shifted to the district hospital for further treatment while the others are being treated at the taluk government hospital here.
The labourers were being taken to a field for work when the incident occurred. Reportedly the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a cow.
Dr. Channaveeradeva of Kuntoji Sansthan Hiremath, Block Congress President Guru Taranala and former ZP Vice-President Prabhugowda Desai visited the hospital and enquired about the health of the injured.
Speaking to Udayavani, Block Congress President Guru Taranala said that all the injured are from Hulagabala. “Those in need of further treatment have been sent to the district hospital. As soon as MLA C.S. Nadagouda came to know about the incident, he sent me to the hospital to enquire about the health of the victims and ensure they get proper treatment,” he added.
