In a remarkable display of skill and determination, New Zealand has notched up their third consecutive victory in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023, propelling themselves to the top spot in the tournament standings. The Kiwis dominated their latest encounter, overpowering Bangladesh with an emphatic eight-wicket win.

With a target of 246 runs set by Bangladesh, New Zealand’s batsmen took charge of the game and secured the win with an impressive 43 balls to spare. Daryl Mitchell delivered the finishing blow in style, smashing a maximum over deep mid-wicket off Shoriful Islam. Mitchell and Kane Williamson both contributed stellar half-centuries on a challenging Chennai pitch, making the 246-run chase appear deceptively simple.

Daryl Mitchell concluded his innings with an unbeaten 89, while Glenn Phillips provided valuable support with a not-out score of 16. This resounding victory not only marks New Zealand’s third consecutive win but also elevates them to the top position in the World Cup rankings.
