In the aftermath of the tragic firecracker explosion in Attibele that resulted in several casualties and one injury, two more fire incidents occurred in the city.
The first incident transpired due to a short circuit at an Agarbatti factory located on Pipeline Road in Cholarapally. Fire brigade units swiftly responded to the scene, successfully extinguishing the fire. Unfortunately, one individual, identified as Ravikumar, sustained injuries and has been hospitalized for treatment.
The fire ignited due to a sudden outbreak of flames, which engulfed the chemicals used in Agarbatti production and even spread onto the road. Additionally, eight motorcycles parked in front of the facility were entirely consumed by the blaze. Local authorities were quick to arrive at the scene to assess the situation.
The second incident took place in Laggere when a transformer malfunctioned, resulting in a fire that engulfed a Gujari shop. Fortunately, no lives were lost in the incident. The area also hosts an old age home, and as a safety precaution, the residents were promptly evacuated. The fire brigade teams responded to the scene, working to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
