Udupi: Woman killed in car-truck collision

Udupi: A woman was killed in a car-truck collision on Tuesday, October 17. Luckily her husband and daughter escaped with minor injuries in the mishap.

The deceased has been identified as Rita D’Souza, a resident of Udyavar.

Reportedly the car in which the family was travelling towards Goa from Udupi rammed into a truck going from Murudeshwar to Mangaluru. The car was totally damaged due to the impact of the collision. Locals rushed the injured to the nearby government hospital for treatment.

Rita died while she was being shifted to another hospital for better treatment.

Police visited the spot and began an investigation.
