Mangaluru/Udupi: In a recent development, the recruitment of Graduate Teachers for Classes 6th to 8th in Government Primary Schools in Mangaluru and Udupi districts for the year 2022 was successfully conducted in the month of March 2023. The counseling of eligible candidates from the 1:1 main selection list was also given.

Dakshina Kannada district witnessed a total of 489 candidates, out of which 21 were absent, while 468 candidates were appointed. In terms of subject allocation, Mathematics and Science positions saw 181 out of 189 candidates securing their roles. The technical aspects of the process, including server operations, proceeded without a hitch. Notably, all counseling sessions occurred on the same day, which stands as an achievement. Counseling commenced for approximately 100 candidates in the morning, and it continued with increased speed, concluding at 8.30 pm.

For the few remaining posts in Mathematics and Social Science, candidates who did not secure positions were advised to contact the Deputy Director’s office, where they will be provided with training and placement in the coming days.

The vacant positions in the “C” Zone (Rural) were successfully allocated, with a limited number of vacancies remaining in Sulya and Puttur division. The open posts in Mangaluru, Moodbidire, Belthangadi, and Bantwala taluks have been filled.

Meanwhile, in Udupi, appointment letters were distributed to 207 out of the 214 candidates listed. Technical issues caused a delay in the results of two candidates, and five were absent.

In Udupi, 84 out of 87 candidates in Mathematics (Kannada), 94 out of 96 candidates in Social Science (Kannada), 11 out of 11 candidates in Biology (Kannada), and 18 out of 20 candidates in English secured their appointment orders.
