Mangaluru ‘Dasara’ 2023 concludes with immersion procession!

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru ‘dasara’ celebrations of Kudroli Gokarnanatha temple here concluded in the early hours of Wednesday, October 25 with the immersion of the idols of Navadurgas and Goddess Sharada which were installed and worshipped at the temple auditorium for the last nine days.

Thousands of devotees witnessed the magnificent and colourful Shobha yatra which began from the temple premises on Tuesday under the guidance of senior Billawa leader and the rallying force behind the temple renovation B Janardhan Poojary.

The procession featured tastefully decorated vehicles in which the idols of Goddess Sharada, and Navadurgas placed along with many other tableaux.

The procession passed through Mannagudda, Ladyhill circle, Lalbagh, Ballalbagh, PVS Circle, K S Rao Road, Hampankatta, Ganapathi High School Road and Car Street before returning to the temple.

Teams of Chende and folk artistes and tiger dancers lent added attraction to the Shobha yatra.
