Thirthahalli: Close shave for passengers as school bus swerves off road on Agumbe ghat

Thirthahalli: A major tragedy was averted after a school bus with over 30 people met with an accident on Agumbe ghat here on Saturday.

The bus was proceeding towards Kollur from Sringeri when the bus driver lost control of the vehicle at the first turn near the sunset spot of Agumbe Ghat.

The bus swerved off the road and came to a stop at the edge of the ghat road. It was a close shave for the passengers as the bus risked falling down had it slipped a bit further.

It is gathered the accident took place due to speeding.
