Kota: A 24-year-old youth died after being struck by lightning at Kiradi near Avarse on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Pramod Shetty (24), son of Babanna Shetty and Baby Shetty.
He had reportedly been on a phone call on his mobile phone in the house courtyard when the lightning struck. Seriously injured, Pramod was rushed to a hospital in Brahmavara but died on the way there.
Pramod had been working in a clothing store in Brahmavara after completing his education. He is survived by his parents and two brothers.
