The Mulki police have successfully apprehended an individual who attempted to snatch a woman’s golden chain on Pavanje Road near Haleangady. The same suspect was also responsible for successfully stealing another woman’s golden chain in Katapadi, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Kaup police station.
The arrested individual has been identified as Vinaya Prasad, a 30-year-old resident of Malali. As part of their investigation, the police managed to recover a stolen golden chain weighing 43.4 grams, in addition to the motorbike used in the crime.
A case has been officially registered at the Mulky police station concerning these incidents, and further legal actions are expected to follow as the investigation progresses.
