Mangaluru: Notorious bike thief arrested

Mangaluru police have successfully apprehended the individual responsible for stealing motorcycles from two different locations.

The arrested suspect, identified as 25-year-old Abdul Khader Fahad from Suratkal near Krishnapura Masjid, has been taken into custody.

One of the thefts involved a Hero Honda motorcycle, reported missing from a hospital parking lot near Jyothi Circle, leading to a complaint by Mahesh on September 31. The police launched an operation, culminating in the arrest of Fahad on November 6 near Kandatapalli in the city.

The accused is alleged to have stolen bikes valued at Rs. 70,000 from Jyoti Circle on September 31 and in Konaje on September 20.

The accused has multiple cases registered against him under the Arms Act and NDPS Act in Mangaluru North, Barke, and East stations.
